This was revealed in the company’s job posting for a manager of a K-Pop group talent (the application process has already closed). The posting stated, “We are looking for a manager for our new virtual K-POP project to expand our business” and called for candidates with the following skills.

Job Description

  • Coordination of the development of talent skills, such as singing or dancing lessons.
  • Planning and organization of live events, cover songs, singles, and other talent milestones.
  • Maintenance of the well-being and motivation of the talents, such as via regular management meetings.
  • Ensure clear communication of expectations and deliverables from staff to talent, and vice versa.
  • Backstage assistance of streams and 3D recording by being physically present in the motion capture studio during activities.

Requirements

  • Have conversational English skills or have used English for business.
  • Be able to commute to our studio in Los Angeles on a frequent basis.
  • Experience as a talent manager. (preferably in the entertainment or music industries.)

Preferred Skills

  • Business / Native level English.
  • Have conversational Korean skills or have used Korean for business.
  • Experience in directing, planning and producing programs and distributed content, including character IP and talent 
  • Experience in analyzing analytics and trends. 
  • Experience in using YouTube, TikTok, or other social platforms for promotion.
  • Fluency with singing and dancing.
  • Strong interest in K-POP.
  • Strong interest in mixed-reality technology and its integration in the entertainment world.

The company’s place of work is Brave group US inc. (U.S. subsidiary), so it is possible that the project is planned as a new group in the English-speaking world or as a project of V4Mirai, which is currently operated by the company as an English-speaking group.

In the Korean VTuber industry, the popularity of companies, groups, and talents that utilize the know-how of the country’s K-POP culture, such as ISEGYE IDOL, StelLive, and PLAVE, is rapidly expanding.
