During the Marshmallow reading streaming on October 21 at 4pm, Hoshimachi Suisei touched on “Retirement Theory” circulating in some circles and clearly denied the possibility of such a theory.
Possibly Malicious Slander and Information Manipulation
The source of “Retirement Theory” about Hoshimachi Suisei is unknown, but it may have something to do with the fact that, as one of the popular talents affiliating to VTuber agency hololive Production, she has long been the target of slander and information manipulation by some malicious communities and so-called Roundup Blog.
In February, the reality of “holoAn Club (hololive Anti-Club),” a Discord server for the purpose of slandering and manipulating information about HoloLive Production and affiliating talents, was recorded and disclosed by a volunteer in order to force Hoshimachi Suisei to retire. The volunteers suggested a causal relationship with the vandalism that occurred when Hoshimachi’s “Stellar Stellar” singing video premiere on THE FIRST TAKE official channel was released, and our Discord administrator stated, “In order to Collapse hololive, We Must First Crush Hoshimachi Suisei! As Long as that B*tch is Around, hololive will Never Go Away!” They had also requested to be posted on the Roundup blog, and had also tried to implicate “Tashiro Gun (DoS attack script that became a hot topic in the early days of Japanese Internet)” and VTuber group NIJISANJI as targets of vandalism.
The Support of Listeners and Fans will Help the Talent
Hoshimachi Suisei’s viewers and fans (a.k.a. Hoshiyomi) have taken Hoshimachi’s words to heart and have confirmed that they are responding calmly and not being incited by the aforementioned “Retirement Theory” and the like.
Recently, some sites have been publishing articles that slander and defame Hoshimachi Suisei, trying to force her to “Blow”. If you find such malicious acts, please report them to COVER Corporation, operated of hololive Production to which Hoshimachi Suisei affiliates.
