VTuber Houshou Marine (宝鐘マリン / affiliation: hololive) is the first active Japanese VTuber to reach 2.5 million YouTube subscribers on July 30, 2023 at 2am (3am PDT), the same day of her birthday.

The record of 2.5 million subscribers was achieved during the streamings of song relay by hololive Production.
The 2.5 million subscribers is the 2nd highest among active VTubers after Gawr Gura (affiliation: hololive English (hololive-EN)), and the first among Japanese celebrities other than Kizuna AI (affiliation: Kizuna AI Inc.), who has been on indefinite hiatus since February 2022.
Houshou Marine is scheduled to give a 3D live performance at 4am (5am PDT) on the same day to commemorate her birthday.
