To launch this initiative, Nintendo and Gakken Cocofump Corporation, a provider of serviced senior housing in Japan, jointly held a small-scale event at some of the homes and facilities operated by Gakken Cocofump. As a result of the positive response from many of the seniors who participated in the event, the scope of the project was expanded in November 2023. 200 serviced residences operated by Gakken Cocofump will be provided with Nintendo Switch and compatible software, and with the support of staff members, Nintendo Switch will be used to hold events for seniors.
