“Palworld” is an open world survival game developed and released by PocketPair. inc. The game is set in a world inhabited by creatures called “Pal,” can be played online by up to 32 players.
The early access version was released on January 19 (PST) and became a smash hit, selling 1 million copies in 8 hours, 2 million in 24 hours, and 3 million in 40 hours after release, it has become the most simultaneously played game software from Japan in the entire world.
Streaming by VTubers Also Started
VTuber talents have been streaming their performances of this game one after another.
In mid-January, hololive Production talents will begun streaming the first play. As of January 21, VSPO!, Neo-Porte, Nanashiinku (774inc.), and independent talents have also begun streaming.
“Palworld” is already gaining momentum as one of the streaming trends in the VTuber industry as a whole. It will be interesting to see how the excitement of this work will color the streaming of VTuber talents in the future.
