27 Talents Debuted on “AniLive” in 3 Days
In three days, NEXAS 27 new talents will make their debut on AniLive, an emerging platform for VTubers.
On the other hand, the debut of 27 new talents all at once on non-major platforms such as YouTube and Twitch has caused a stir immediately after the announcement.
While NEXAS advocates on official website that “We envision an institution like a ‘Prestigious university’ like Harvard University,” “Please understand that individual support for each person will be less,” and “NEXAS actively supports those who show high engagement and ambition. If you call it ‘Favoritism,’ in a sense it may be, but please understand that we do it in a more systematic way“.
NEXAS
This approach of “Debuting as many as 27 new talents in a short period of time and focusing on supporting those who show high engagement and ambition” has been a key factor in the business at NIJISANJI, NIJISANJI EN (New) and ANYCOLOR Inc. (Dominant mass debut and widening gap among Livers, which some have derisively called “High-Production, High-Sacrifice”).
The reason behind this is the “Black Company” “Evil Company” and “KUROSANJI,” and “SINK THE YACHT” criticism of the VTuber group NIJISANJI / NIJISANJI EN (new) and ANYCOLOR, which rapidly expanded after Selen Tatsuki’s contract was terminated.
There are also concerns about their qualifications, as it has been confirmed that an account of a person who appears to be the CEO has been inciting critics to speak out on X (Twitter).
“Lanchester Strategy” Operation?
NEXAS’s approach is presumably based on the “Lanchester Strategy (Concentration on niche markets),” which aims to secure superiority in niche markets by avoiding major platforms such as YouTube, where competition is fierce.
NEXAS case is an experiment on an emerging platform where the absolute number of users is much more limited than on the major platforms, but there is a concern that this policy could put new talent at great risk if they are sent out en masse.
It remains to be seen whether this attempt by the controversial NEXAS firm will succeed or take an undesired turn.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
The “NIJISANJI EN (New)” we use is to distinguish it from the original “NIJISANJI EN (former NIJISANJI IN / India)” that existed in the past.
